I think there is a state bug in the way the Creative Cloud app on Mac detects network changes (or not).
I was on a network that used proxies and did not use any Adobe apps.
I've returned to a different network where proxies are not required.
The Creative Cloud menu bar option only now opens up to a screen requesting proxy sign in. Can't exit that screen. There is no option to skip this and just work with creative cloud (I needed to invite someone - quickly - but wasting time).
Need to recheck the network status to know if proxies are required or let the user skip this.
If the machine is now on a different network (non-proxy environment) now, kindly close the application and services using task manager and re-launch the app. You can try after restarting the machine. Clearing the cache files from SLCache (C:/Program Files(x86)/Common Files/Adobe), SLStore (C:/Program Data(Hidden Folder)/Adobe), and OOBE (User directory>App Data>Local>Adobe) might work.
Thanks for the suggestion. Do you have the equivalent instructions for Mac?
Yes, you can remove the cached file from the following locations on Mac:
> /Library/Application Support/Adobe/SLCache
> /Library/Application Support/Adobe/SLStore
> ~/library/>Application Support>Adobe>OOBE
