flash9b.ocx failed to register????

this is the error i get when installing with the larger install_flash_player_active_x.msi. i cannot install with the adobe website and for some reason flash 9 works on other usernames on this computer... i have administrative privaledges so i cannot figure out why this wont work. everything goes smoothly when installing until it hits the very last part and this error comes up. any help anyone..??

"error 1904.module
:\windows\system32\macromed\flash\flash9b.ocx failed to register. hresult -2147220473. contact your support personnel"

this worked for me: find the Adobe page regarding permissions for flash player

change all the registery key permissions listed

I fought an uninstallable flashplayer9 for a week, tried everything. Flash Player is way too fragile.

Hi foofighter. I think you should just be able to run this command and you'll be good to go:

regsvr32 C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash\FlDbg9.ocx

To unregister the ocx, just add the /u switch:

regsvr32 /u C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash\FlDbg9.ocx
