Trying to install latest patch to FM 2017. Download the zip file and run AdobePatchInstaller.exe. Get one of two "Update Failed" messages that alternate seemingly randomly: 1) Please contact your Administrator if you wish to apply updates. Updates have been suppressed by the Administrator" and 2) "Adobe Application Manager may be damaged. Download and install a new copy of 'Adobe Application Manager' (hyperlinked to an Adobe site that does not have that app listed).

What's happening if you try running the Help > Updates routine within FM? Was that not working? If so, have you tried the direct link to the FM patches - Adobe - FrameMaker : For Windows ? Do you have local admin rights to your machine?

Tried the latter (that's where I got the download file). Have admin rights. Surprisingly, "Updates" is grayed out on the Help>Updates dropdown.

Is your copy of FM2017 part of the Tech Comm Suite? If so, another component may have the Help > Updates link active.
