Add 'Edit in Photoshop' or 'Edit with...''

Please add that function next to 'Edit original...'

Not all pixel files come from Photoshop, so 'Edit original' often results in opening Preview (MacOS).

But I would like to force After Effects to open Photoshop to edit certain files. Shouldn't be a big deal.

Adobe InDesign has an 'Edit with...' option, which does exactly what we need.

Matching what InDesign offers for Edit With so that After Effects users do not have to rely on the macOS "Open with" setting when using Edit Original is a great idea.

Adding a screenshot of what Edit With... looks like in InDesign 2023.

If you want a file to open with a specific app on a Mac, right-click on the file in the finder, then hold down the Alt/Option key to bring up the option to show Inspector. In the Inspector, there is an Open with option. Pick the app you want to use and then select Change All when you are presented with the Options. That fixes the Edit Original workflow for me.

Not really a solution, Rick, rather a work around that messes up other things.

Why shouldn't InDesigns 'Edit With' functionality not be rolled out to other Adobe Apps?
