Ich vermisse in Lightroom für die Vorher-Nachher-Ansicht wirklich sehr die Möglichkeit, das Bild mit einem Slider (wie bei Capture One oder Luminar) ansehen zu können.

Voted as well. Lightroom Classic is very much in the minority here without it. I write about external editors and plugins for a magazine and nearly all have a before and after slide option.

Dear Adobe Product Development Team,

I hope you are doing well. I am writing to propose a new feature that I believe would greatly enhance Adobe’s suite of tools for real estate photography: an interactive before-and-after slider. This feature would enable users to effortlessly compare images by sliding a bar left and right to view the before and after states of a property, offering automatic comparisons crucial for showcasing changes and improvements.

Feature Proposal: Interactive Before-and-After Slider

**1. Overview of the Feature

The proposed before-and-after slider would allow users to:

  • Compare Two Images: Display two images side by side (e.g., before and after a renovation or staging) with a draggable slider in between.
  • Automatic Comparison: The slider would dynamically reveal and hide parts of each image as it is moved, providing a clear, visual comparison.
  • Customization Options: Users could adjust the slider’s position, overlay effects, and visibility to suit their needs.

**2. Benefits of Real Estate Photography

  • Enhanced Visual Appeal: Real estate professionals often need to highlight property improvements or renovations. An interactive slider would provide a compelling, immediate way for potential buyers to see changes and enhancements.
  • Increased Engagement: Interactive features like this engage viewers more effectively than static images, potentially leading to higher interest and quicker decisions.
  • Streamlined Workflow: Simplifies comparing images without requiring additional software or manual adjustments, saving time for photographers and agents.

**3. Competitive Advantage

  • Industry Demand: Many real estate agents and photographers rely on before-and-after comparisons to showcase their work. Adding this feature would position Adobe as a leader in addressing the specific needs of this market segment.
  • Differentiation: This feature would differentiate Adobe’s software from competitors, who may not offer such integrated and user-friendly solutions.

**4. User Experience and Integration

  • Seamless Integration: The slider could be integrated into existing Adobe products such as Photoshop, Lightroom, or Adobe Express, leveraging Adobe’s robust image editing capabilities.
  • Intuitive Interface: Designed to be user-friendly, the slider would feature straightforward controls and customization options, ensuring it is accessible for both professional and amateur users.

**5. Implementation Considerations

  • Technical Feasibility: The feature can be developed using Adobe’s existing technology stack, including its powerful image processing and editing tools.
  • User Feedback: Engaging with real estate professionals and photographers during the development phase to ensure the feature meets their needs and preferences.

Conclusion

Adding an interactive before-and-after slider to Adobe’s software would significantly benefit the real estate industry by providing a more effective way to showcase properties and enhancements. This feature would not only meet the needs of current users but also attract new customers seeking advanced, user-friendly solutions for image comparison.

Thank you for considering this proposal. I am confident that this feature would enhance Adobe’s offerings and drive greater value for users in the real estate sector. I would be happy to discuss this proposal further or provide additional insights into how this feature could be implemented.

Best Regards,

@Rikk Flohr: Photography While this has before and after in the title, it's a completely different request to the merged thread.

@Sean McCormack I can see why you would think that, but from an application infrastructure perspective, the Control Slider is the key item whether it shows the before/after of a non-edited/edited image or the before/after of two different images would be secondary.  I am inclined to leave it here - particularly regarding the low traffic on this set of requests.

@Rikk Flohr: Photography That's a fair enough point. As I voted a long time ago on this, I would like to see it.
