TAB should be the standard input to move to the next field

It is a common keybind that the TAB key would move your text cursor from the current field to the next text field.

TAB is currently used to minimize panels. While this is useful it is a feature, it does not have a standard in software. Moving it to say the ~ key, that is not in use, would be the easiest change. It's right next to it.

Texture work is becoming more advanced and more tools are being made to manipulate them, meaning we are now dealing with more fields then ever. Having to mouse over and click every field adds up. Users are easily losing hours over a project for useless mouse clicks.

This might sound inconsequentially small, but it has a big impact in speed.

Please include this digital standard.

Hello everyone !

I definitely agree with you and I had the same issue.
Simple solve : Change the current minimizing panels' shortcurt.

When the TAB key in Substance Painter has no shortcut, it will switch back to the native Windows shortcut, which is "jump to the next text field".

Best regards,

Yes, please Adobe! I lost count of how many times I hid all panels trying to just go to the next field. Not to mention that when you want to change, let's say, five fields that are consecutive, having to click on each one to then change, going from mouse to keypad to mouse to keypad is ridiculous.
