I keep having an issue with working with my Wacom Intuos Pro (PTH-660) tablet (latest driver upate) in illustrator (latest version). Once I press the alt key using the rotate tool illustrator stops working for a couple of minutes. Very annoying. System: Windows 11 (latest update), Illustrator 27.8.1. Tried reinstalling the Wacom driver and Adobe Illustrator, nothing works.

Hello @bb59645591,

I understand the frustration you're experiencing with your Wacom Intuos Pro tablet and Illustrator on Windows 11. The issue where Illustrator stops working when you press the Alt key using the Rotate tool is indeed quite frustrating.

Sometimes, third-party applications or services can interfere with the functioning of software like Illustrator. To identify if this is the case, you can try running both Illustrator and your Wacom tablet in Safe Mode. Safe Mode starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and services.

In Safe Mode, test Illustrator with your Wacom tablet to see if the issue persists. If it doesn't, it suggests that a third-party application or service running in normal Mode might be causing the problem. You can then selectively enable services and applications in normal Mode to identify the culprit.

If running in Safe Mode resolves the issue, you can gradually re-enable applications and services until you find the one causing the conflict.

If the problem continues even in Safe Mode, it's advisable to reach out to Wacom Support for further assistance. They may have specific troubleshooting steps or updates related to compatibility issues.

I hope this helps resolve the problem and you can enjoy a smoother experience with your Wacom tablet and Illustrator. If you have any more questions or need further assistance, please feel free to ask.

best,

Anshul Saini
