A colleague is having issues with Illustrator.
They are working on 2 simple files. Neither particularly large or complex
The PC is hitting 100% CPU usage- All attributed to Illustrator.
The PC specs are higher than recommended.
I have followed the steps provided on both
https://helpx.adobe.com/in/x-productkb/global/high_cpu_usage_cephtmlengine.html
https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html#
I am at a loss now. Illustrator is integral to his daily work and as things stand he can't use it without this issue.
Can you offer any further advice?
Regards,
Zach

I would try checking preferences>performance
Maybe restart the machine as well?

Re-Starting doesn't help- It may not happen to start, but before too long the same issue occurs.
The performance is fine. I have seen people mention a bug where Illustrator eats the CPU, but the 'solutions' haven't worked in this instance.

The same issue here, why did Adobe make Illustrator worst instead of making it better.
