illustrator desktop download

While trying to downlaod AI desktop version its says it requires an update and I dont meet system requirments. As it requires 8 ram my laptop is only 4 ram .Would I be able to use the moble platform instead ? and if so would it have the same functionaiblity as the desktop verison.

As long as your device matches Adobe's minimum requirements for Illustrator (https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/user-guide.html/illustrator/system-requirements-ios.ug.html) you should be able to use it. However, the functionality of the mobile version is not as robust as the desktop version.
