The Adobe Community Team wishes a cheerful September to all of you. We are all gearing up for Adobe MAX at Adobe, and like all of you, we couldn't be more excited. If you have not registered already, go ahead and do that here https://max.adobe.com/pricing/. You can choose to attend in person, or join us online (free). Either way, it is going to be a blast!

In this edition of the newsletter, you will find links to tutorials by Monika Gause, live stream updates from Christy Sanderson, and a feature on one of our community professionals Anna Lander.

For previous versions of the newsletter, see the Adobe Illustrator Newsletter Home page.

Adobe Community Professionals

Anna joined the Illustrator community in July 2014. She is one of the top contributors to the Illustrator community. Her expertise in Adobe’s products, especially Illustrator, has helped millions of users that visit our community. We are grateful for her presence and want to thank her for all her contributions.

Anna in her own words:

IMG_6693_cv.jpgI specialize mainly in Illustrator and InDesign, but I am also glad to help users with their difficulties in Photoshop and AfterEffects. I am a graphic and motion designer living in St. Petersburg, Russia. I've been working in this industry since 1991 and grew with Illustrator from its very first version to today's loving monster 🙂

I've worked as a designer and art director in some Saint Petersburg publishing houses and retail companies providing a full stack of advertising support.

Also, I work as a freelancer in graphic and motion design for Russian and international clients (from England, the US, Belgium, Germany, Israel, etc.)

Now I'm interested more in motion and mixing 2D and 3D graphics in a wide range of illustrative projects and explaining videos.

Meanwhile, I teach the students in our St. Petersburg Polytechnical University to work with Adobe soft: Photoshop, Illustrator, AfretEffects, and InDesign.

Most of my students make a graduating work in the publishing area: catalogs, magazines, illustrated books, travel guides, etc., and I see that they combine their new skills in using different soft.

In my work, I prefer to mix different styles and techniques: hand-drawn illustrations and vectors, 2D and 3D, vector and raster. So, in my own projects and in teaching my favorite subject is cross-soft links and non-destructive editing. Students say that I can explain complex things in simple words 🙂
