Is it possible to create a script to clean up the layers in my file before I preform a save out?

By clean up I mean just make them look clean by collapsing all layers and sublayers.

Before Cleanup

After Cleanup

Any help or suggestions are appreciated!

I don't know how complex your layer structures are, but you can collapse (or expand) all sub containers by Alt key clicking on the little arrowheads on the left-hand side of the top level container items (main layers).

Hi,

As far as I know I don't think this is possible via script. Please see below link

https://community.adobe.com/t5/illustrator/script-to-expand-and-or-collapse-layers/td-p/4842110?page...

This is quite old link, in case if is there any update on this, you will may get information here.

You can post a feature request where we have some option collapse/or expand in Layers flyout menu on the following link.

https://illustrator.uservoice.com/

Best regards

Thanks for the help!  I did see that post from 2013 when I was searching for an answer, but I was really banking that there was a fix for it since then. Bummer 😞

I posted a feature request here if anyone would like to vote it up.
