Hi,

I'm looking to find a white and/or bright white standard for primary and secondary packaging. There are no PMS white chips in my PMS Books. Online it looks like a few exist ie PMS 11-4800, but does anyone have any other suggestions? PMS or non PMS? Thanks!

From the Pantone Website:
Although opaque white inks exist, Pantone does not provide a reference for white. Generally, if you are printing on white paper and apply no ink to an area, you will achieve white. When ink is needed, it should simply be specified as opaque white, without a PANTONE Reference.

So, if you are screen printing onto a non-white surface like Metal or a CD, you can name a white swatch "Opaque White" and make sure to designate it as a spot color.

Thanks Nikolai. What if you want an extra bright white? Doesn't that exist?

Talk to the people that actually will print this. You'll need to communicate with them anyway.
