[Moderator moved from Fireworks to Illustrator.]
This is the pop up I recieve every time I open an .ai file that contains a .PNG obtained from Yoga Alliance for accrediting and diploma purposes.
How do I get rid of whatever this is? It prevents me from saving my .ai files and crashes every time. I can't find anything pertinent on the internet to troubleshoot let alone find a number for Adobe to get assistance...
Attached you will find the initial pop up when I attempt to open the file.
Then the blank pop up is what shows up when I save the edited .ai file.
Most of the time I need to Cmmd + Opt + Esc when this happens.
Appreciate your guidance for those of you willing to take the time to give me a hand.
I assume you want to get rid of the pop-ups so as not to slow down your workflow, correct?
Is the png linked or embedded? You may want to open all your pngs in photoshop and resave them in Photoshop.
File >> scripts >> image processor can process a folder of images.

I would suggest doing a batch convert of the AI files to EPS or SVG if that is acceptable?

My guess is this is an old file that's on the verge of total corruption. The Fireworks data is most likely irrelevant at this point.
Try Saving as another filename and Hit the OK button to discard the Fireworks data.

Fireworks (a discontinued graphics app) stored metadata for layers, animation, etc... in it's proprietary PNG file type. However those PNGs were never intended to be distributed directly. Ideally, the layered PNG should have been flattened in Fireworks to a traditional PNG file type before it was distributed.
