Problems with Every Line Composer and stroked text

Is this buggy or is my method flawed?

I create some text (a box object, not path text) then I make some tweaks (kerning, leading, etc) then I add a stroke to the text using the appearance panel and the stroke is not aligned with the text!

Anyone know of this issue?

It looks like a bug (and it comes and goes when you change something like leading).

You can report it as a bug here:

Please tell us which system and version this is.

Also: please check the layers panel if there are copies of the text object lying around.

Thanks Monika, it looks like a bug as it goes away if you change the text (comes back occasionally if you don't leave the object alone afterwards.

Strange.

When I removed the fill and added a new fill and stroke, it  works as expected.

Sadly this bug remains unfixed in the latest version of CC 2019:

I'll report it later if it's not been done already by any Adobe staff on these forums.
