I'd like to be able to keep the "Start" interface but remove the ugly, space-wasting, banner-ad-looking, useless-to-me Adobe Stock input. Please consider it, Adobe.

Sure, I'll post it there. That way it can be ignored in two places on the web!

Hi Jeff,

I have checked my screen it's at the bottom and not taking much space. Would you mind sharing a screenshot of your start screen?

Regards,

Srishti

srishtib8795206 It's not tall but it blocks the entire width of the app. I'd be able to see 5 more "recent files" thumbnails with it removed. Again, I will never, ever use Adobe Stock.

The same can be said about the app header — its "Work/Learn" toggle and View/Sort/Filter controls take up so much space that could be used for content (recent files/tutorials) which is the screens purpose. So much administrative debris. Why?

Here's my screen with the "chrome" (non-content area) highlighted. For the sake of this conversation, I've highlighted the Adobe Stock section blue. Yes, the actual search-input graphic is relatively small, but the space you dedicate to it is large — and this is on a 15" Macbook Pro with the window fully maximized. On a smaller laptop/window, I'd wager that the bottom bar could take up 20% of the Illustrator screen. Unacceptable. All for product promotion.
