Still a bug after 4 years

Another update...fingers crossed that the issue I reported 4 years ago was corrected.....but NO.

Easy to reproduce every time.

Still broken.

make a box, add a gradient stroke, apply gradient across stroke, align stroke to outside - you can't button is greyed out.

so

make a box, add a gradient stroke, align stroke to outside THEN click apply gradient across stroke...button is active but does nothing

Please fix...

workaround...use offset path to move the stroke inside

New version and still broken, even after getting an email response from Adobe support saying that the problem was fixed?
