Automated Templates and Workflows

Hi,

I am exploring InDesign tool, kindly let me know if the below is possible using InDesign.

1) We have an application which generates an xml and couple of images and keep them at a certain location.

2) Now using that xml file a report(pdf and a hardcopy print) should get generated.

3) Depending on the data in xml file the look and feel of report may vary , so there should be atleast 90 different report templates available.

4) All the above should be auomated(fetching xml/png files, selecting the template based on some values in xml, generating pdf and printing hardcopy etc) 

5) Template should support Chinese /Japanese characters (few text) differnt fonts, QR code, Barcode, flexible date formatting etc.

6) Easy deployment of templates in case of any changes.

I don't think there is a standalone solution - you may have to find a specialist in this sort of thing.

Yes, as Eugene says, you'll likely need to involve additional resources, perhaps including InDesign Server, depending on the level of automation and volume you need. There are many developers in this area, two I know of with much experience are Typefi(https://www.typefi.com) and Silicon Publishing (https://www.siliconpublishing.com).
