Hi,

I have a bulleted list of numbers and I'd like each number to be followed by a thin double line. Any ideas how to do this?

Thanks very much.

Nope! If you wanna cover all the para, choose the shading stroke!

Here is a simple example of numbering with a vertical bar in the numbering area. Then added a character style to enlarge the type size and baseline shift. Left and first line indent take care of pushing the text over.

A paragraph border for each number? The list will go up to 200. Is there a way to automate this?

Thank you. Is there a way I can edit that line - to make it thinner or 2 lines right next to each other?

I tried doing what you posted Jonathan and that's really what I need to use. I just want to be able to edit that line, by making it different to the standard. It's coming out very thick and I want a much thinner line.

If you introduce another point as an auto-num until 3 digits (200), here's another cool way:

Draw a graphic line and anchor it in the first para and associate it to an object style to get more controls.

Don't use a "tab" but a space to define the gap between text and numbering. Like that you will just need one para style!

Finally, play this simplistic regex:

As indicated in the Grep Find form, there are 2 chars to be selected in the first para (template)! …

• The "image anchor":

• … and the "special char that allows the re-alignment of the left side of the para":

Capture d’écran 2021-02-24 à 12.37.04.png

Why include these 2 special chars in the Grep Find form?

Simply because if you finally want to change the "image" (here, a simple curved line with a gradient and an effect) everywhere, the regex will do it!

If more info about the Grep code I use, ask to the Grep experts.

Last point: you never get such a visual result trying to play with just an auto-num!  😉
