FONT problems

I am having serious problems with my fonts in Indd. In the earlier versions of Indd (even last year) there was not the problem that I am having now. I have installed over 100 fonts but cannot 'just' type in the font name and as earlier - the font would automatically be found and inserted into my In Design document. It seems that I have to go to 'show more' and even then have to scroll down to find the right font, and AGAIN active the font.

Is there a Tutorial about using fonts?

Thanks for taking the time to answer my question - appreciate it. I'll get back to you to know if this helps. I need to find out if I do have the full CC plan or why it's not included in just the original CC? Do I have to install a extra app?

What type of plan do you have single app or full Creative Cloud? Are you a student?
