After latest update in indesign we are facing a problem in two areas:

1. Headers are randomly truncated while exporting

2. Footnote and endnote when exported do not show last one or two letters

I am attaching screenshot to demonstrate, kindly offer an earliest solution

Hi ashokkumarpk,

you may have detected a bug. What's your exact version of InDesign and operating system?

Maybe we can workaround this by a different way to export or by printing to PostScript and distilling to PDF.

More details on this when I know what version of InDesign you are using.

Hi Ashok,

Sorry to hear about your experience. We have just released Adobe InDesign 2021 (v16.1).

Please update your app to the latest version & see if it helps with these kinds of issues. Let us know how it goes.

Regards,

Ashutosh

Thank you for your prompt reply. The update did not help. The work around,
the classical ps print did work, but the export feature was fantastic one,
hope you will fix the bug at the earliest

with regards

Ashok

Alright. I suspected this…

Did you do an export to PDF/X-4 ?

Did you try to export to PDF/X-1a which is closest to a result if you print to PostScript and distill to PDF.
