Importing a single page of copy from word to indesign

Hello. I see plenty of posts about importing large word files into InDesign, but I'd like to import 2/3 of one page out of an 8 page file. I understand that I'd pick place, and import options, but then it just wants to import the whole 8 page file after making me designate the incoming file. I don't want that.

Take 30 seconds to copy the 2/3 of a page into a newWord document, then place that in InDesign.
