Running a new M1 MacBook Pro. Used IND for several days, now it refuses to launch.  Uninstalled, reinstalled, updated to 16.01 and back to 16.0.  Will not open or respond to a preferences wipe (CMD+OP+CTRL+SHT).

There are no known issues specific to running InDesign under Rosetta 2 emulation mode on Apple devices with M1 processors running BigSur (macOS 11).

Hey, this is happening to me too -- InDesign crashes and is just unresponsive on my M1... Pretty inconvenient to say the least. What proceeds?

The M1 chip is not supported by InDesign yet, and Rosetta 2 is not working well with InDesign. To get more information, see this thread:

M1 Mac. Has anyone used In Design with the new Mac with m1 chip? plus Photo Shop?

I am having that same issue and have tried everything you listed. The main difference is that I am using a PC running Windows 10. I have spent 3 days (intermittently) trying to fix it. Please let us know what your fix ends up being. Thank you!

Whatever your issue, it's not the same. Please start a new discussion including system specs and exact build of Windows 10.
