Hi,
InDesign keeps crashing when I try to open a file not already saved on my mac.
I am able to access my company's network and drives, but not able to open Indesign in there so I've been copy and pasting the files I need onto my desktop to work on them.
As of yesterday, this has stopped working and I can't open any files other than those already saved on my desktop. I don't even get an error message, it just crashes the programme. I've tried emailing and saving them, I've deleted the Indesign Recovery folder and I've uninstalled and reinstalled Indesign without personal preferences. My colleague is able to open the files so I don't think they're the problem.
I did an ios update yesterday and a couple of microsoft upates. I'm unclear how these can cause the issue but I don't know what else it could be.
I'm using Indesign 15.0 and my app says it's up to date.
Thanks!
Can you help please?
Sounds like an IT problem. Check with your IT department. Impossible to help with local network issues.

Hi there,
Sorry to hear about your experience. Would you mind sharing version of the OS?
Latest version of InDesign is v15.1.2. Please update your InDesign to the latest version & see if it helps.
You may also try using Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to remove the existing installation of the app and install again once done.
Let us know how it goes.
Regards,
Ashutosh

Not sure its a local IT issue as I said my colleague had no issue opening the documents and I can open documents from other programmes.
I was using the latest version but have removed this and reinstalled the previous version and it seems to be working at the moment. I'm using OS 10.13.6.
