Which version of InDesign and OS?

How much RAM and spare disk capacity do you have?

Have you tried resetting your InDesign preferences?

Brand new machine, Big Sur, latest release. Ditto for indesign version...up to date.

I did try wiping out the prefs, doesn't help. Apparently this is an ongoing issue with the new silicon macs and indesign running through Rosetta. I was just hoping Adobe may do something sooner rather than later.

Thanks, I'll try this "UserVoice" as mentiioned in another post

Fixed

1) Throw out all Adobe prefs and cache

2) Turn off network to computer, Wifi or Ethernet plug out.

3) Restart App and it works everytime

One option that may work if the above doesn't is to to tick Rossetta mode on App.

I understand your sentiments, but this isn't the place to plead your case.

For the most part we're end users, just like you. If you want to direct your issues straight to Adobe, you want to go to the UserVoice platform.

You can find out more about it through this link.

Hope this helps,

Randy

Hi All -

Installed the Beta and found it is still crashing on my MacBook Pro M1.

So far it hasn't frozen my entire laptop requiring a hard re-boot each time - we'll see what happens.
