InDesign v16.2.1 on macOS crashes while creating a merge document

I'm on the latest version 16.2.1. I can export to PDF to merge the data but cannot create a merged document. It takes forever, then looks like the status bar is at the end and then it just gets stuck and stops responding so I have to force quit.

I have about 1400 records in the source data file - basic data - title, name, address, city, state, zip.

Anyone else encounter this or have a solution?

Hi there,

Sorry about the crashing and delayed response. I hope the issue is resolved by now. If not, please update to InDesign v16.3.2, which contains multiple bug fixes and performance improvements.

Please feel free to reach out if you run into this issue after updating InDesign; we'd be happy to help.

Thanks & Regards,
Anshul Saini
