Dear Adobe community! I purchased the Adobe Indesign Version 8.0 Please could you help me and tell me where / how I can get the release 8.1. Unfortunately the Adobe customer service couldn't help me and advised me to reach out to you guys

You've purchased a product that is out of support, and are trying to get support - this may not happen. Support send people here to get them off the line. Even if someone had a copy, it would be illegal to send it to you.
But anyway, 8.1 was an special update that was only for subscribers to Creative Cloud, never for purchasers. Why would you purchase something out of support which is unlikely to work well on future systems (and won't even work on many of the systems today...)?

Thanks for the fast reply. The reason why I would like to have version 8.1 is because if i create hyperlinks in PDF via Indesign 8.0 they do not work... I managed to install 8.1 about 4 years ago on one PC and there it works perfectly. Now I have a new notebook and can only install 8.0 and have the issue with the non working hyperlinks... Any idea how to solve it? Thanks so much

If you kept the 8.1 download you can use it on the new machine. Otherwise, I don't have any suggestion, and it's surprising if 8.1 worked without a subscription.

Unfortunately I do not have the download file any more... Is there any other bug fix to solve issue with the non working hyperlinks for PDFs creates via Indesign... I cannot believe I am the only one who needs it...

Of course many things have been fixed, you are 6 versions behind. But you don't want to hear that, since you decided to stick with an old app.
Please tell us more about the "non working hyperlink". How do you add it? What happens? Does it show up in Acrobat Pro's link editor?

The OP is EIGHT versions behind and quite likely using it on an unsupported system. I understand the desire to try to stick with it, but at this point, it's very much something I advise against for anything other than hobby purposes.

I don't know about old versions, but in the current versions of InDesign, to create hyperlinks (for example for emails) you highlight a word or words (or an image) in your document and using Type > Hyperlinks & Cross-Reference, select New Hyperlink and in the subsequent dialogue box you select Email in the Link To: drop-down menu and type in (or paste) the Address. You can also add text that you want to appear in the Subject field of the address.
Export the InDesign document as an Interactive PDF.
