I have an image that I have placed  a colored box on top of and right aligned them. However, depending on what magnification I am viewing the document at, there is a sliver of the image showing to the right of the colored box. It is happening in INDD and also when I view the PDF in Acrobat and if I upload to Issuu as well. Is it something to do with trapping?

Hi,

I don't think that trapping is the issue.

It may be that the screen rendering with the PDF viewers does this.

What you could try:

[1] Expand the width of the image in the background. Expand the width of the text frame as well.

[2] Group the image and the text frame.

[3] Draw a rectangle on top of the group with no fill and no stroke.

Make it the width you originally intended with both elements in the group.

[4] Cut the group to the clipboard.

[5] Select the rectangle and paste the group in
