Selections within Tables

I work with tables in InDesign a lot because it seems to be the nicest way to keep things organized. I also like being able to create a table in a separate document and then fit it proportionately within a frame in another so i have to worry less about text size up front.

 

This might already exist so excuse me if it does but I wish there was a way to select multiple non-adjacent cells. Like in Excel you can hold command and select different rows, columns, or cells and that would make my life way easier.
