Swatch Name Live Captions

Hi all. I think this may be a long shot, but it's worth a try.

I'm working on a brochure with lots of keys showing the surface colours and patterns used in CGI renders of kitchens. For the patterned surfaces, I've used images, so it's easy to set a Live Caption from the Title field in the metadata. But for the flat colours, I'm using swatch libraries from spectrometer readings (see screenshot). Does anyone know a way of creating a Live Caption or text variable that would caption the image based on the swatch name? I think the captions could be generated with a script, but I'd prefer to keep them dynamic if at all possible.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

No way to do it with a text variable. Quite possibly scriptable.
