Table of contents issue

Hi Guys,

I have a list of 137 song titles that I want to make interactive table of contents so the reader can click on the desired title. I have styled the text and set the page numbering to start on page 1, although this is not the first page as I have a front cover, inside front cover and two introductory pages which have master page 'none' applied. When I publish, all the bookmarks go to page 4 only. Any ideas on what am I doing wrong?

Hi @guytoon:

The TOC in the file you provided did not have any hyperlinks. I pushed your TOC down the page, and regenerated a new TOC using Song Title Heading and added it above yours. The links work as expected. (I didn't mess with the formatting, so using the wrong fonts.)

You will want to restyle the title paragraphs before the the first song—Angel of the Garden—so that they aren't pulled into the TOC by assigning them a style other than Song Title Heading (specifically, the words cupid's arrow missed again, selected the lyrics and poems, and your name.)

i really appreciate your efforts with this. Unfortunately, I still can't get it to work even with your guidance, so I have moved on to another project, as I have spent weeks on thsi TOC already. If you could supply the version you amended that would be a help, as I could see how you set this up. Many thanks
