White box on indesign document

Can anyone advice on what this box is and how to to get rid of it?

It looks like a white frame. Can you select it with the Selection tool and press Delete? If you can't select it: It may be locked (choose Object > Unlock all on Spread) and try again to select it It may be on a locked layer (open Window > Layers, expand the layer and look for a padlock icon. Click it to unlock.) It may be on a master page (navigate to the master and remove it there) There are other possibilities, but let's start there.  ~Barb

If you cannot select it, then it is either an locked item, on a locked layer, or on a Master Page.

Look in your Layers Pallet to locate it.
