Hi, I posted this on another question, though it was for mac users.
Using P.C, and in Slideshow after loading music, Lightroom freezes, than closes itself. When I go to get back into the folder I was working on it tells me that it is open in another program (no other programs open on my computer). Have been reading this through other complaints.
Been happening for the past two days now.
Any advice / help on how to fix it would be greatful.
S.

Cannot post what the error message is because it doesn't show me one.
As for the problem, when I'm uplaoding music (2.30-4mins long). Adobe Slideshow just freezes and than closes itself. When I try and open the folder I was working in again, a small window opens and says that the folder is open in another program. I cannot open the folder, if I restart the computer, open Lightroom I can use Slideshow as intended no problems.
I have never had a problem with Lightroom 4, Photoshop CS4 over the years.
It seems like I'm not the only one having problems with Lightroom freezing or crashing, so I don't see it as a problem on my end.

Not exactly sure what that tells me, External pen? Do you have a WACOM or other tablet device attached?
If so, does disconnecting it help.

as you are not running 4K and beyond, do you have
/preferences/performance use Graphics Processor on?
Consider turning that off.
It typically does not improve non 4K and beyond performance. Can be buggy.
DirectX: Intel(R) HD Graphics 630 (27.20.100.8682)
So just an integrated video control, no GPU, defiantly do not select use graphics processor.

Your Sys Info did not include your plug-ins. They can have issues.
A common one is LogiOptions (Only for specific Logitech mice and keyboards)
Also, some previously nice behaving third party plug-ins post v10, are having issues, Check your Plugin Manager and see if any nasty notes are shown.

Thanks, I will try the graphic processor.
Not using anything logitec.
Yes, using a Wacom tablet and Microsoft keyboard.
So I'm trying to make a slideshow right now, can use Library, Develop and Book with no problem. can seem to use Slideshow up until I want to add music. Now the screen freezes and than just closes itself.
I click on Lightroom logo to open, it shows this message.
I don't have the folder open in any other program. I try and open the catalog from a recent catalog and still it will not open.
I literally have to restart the computer for it to open again. Once open it seems to work music loaded and able to be saved.
I will try the graphics progessor now and see the result.
This is frustrating

So before I resterted my computer again, I dived into preferences and turned off the graphics processor (which was set at auto).
Opened Lightroom and stated a new clients slideshow, uplaoded the music file I wanted and waited for it to freeze. Good news is. It didnt freeze, I'm still abae to work without restarting the computer.
So thank you for the advice, though I do have a question? with the graphics processor turned off will this affect anything else when using Lightroom?
Thanks for your help,
Merry Christmas,
S
