Hi all,
I just recently started seeing this issue. I dont know what caused it.
When I import the pictures, the pictures(in Library module) look extactly how they look in windows picture app. But once I go to Develop module the same pictures become darker.
I am not sure what is casuing this. I would really appreciate any help!
Note: I am on a windows machine.
Thank you!

Hi,
We're sorry about the trouble with Lightroom Classic. Would you mind sharing the version of Lightroom Classic you're using? Which file format are the images in? Do you use an tool to calibrate your computer monitor?
You can try changing the monitor profile to sRGB 2.1 using the steps suggested here: https://www.windowscentral.com/how-configure-correct-color-profile-your-monitor-windows-10
If the issue persists, you can try to reset the preferences of Lightroom using the steps mentioned here: https://adobe.ly/2JSym5e
Please backup your presets prior to resetting the preferences.
Let us know how it goes!
Regards,
Nikunj

Hi Nikunj,
Thank you so much for the respond. I will share the information of the version I am using soon (But I am sure I keep it up to date to the latest veriosn).
I am using Nikon RAW files (NEF).
I have not used any tool to calibrate my monitor. I have used my monitor out of box for almost 2-3 years and never seen this issue before. I think if I remember correctly its LG 27UK650w.
I will change the monitor profile and will update you on that.
Thanks again!
Harpreet

HI Nikunj,
Here are the answers to questions you asked.
1. I am using Adobe Lightroom Clasic 10.3 release.
2. I am using Nikon RAW files (NEF).
3. I have not used any tool to calibrate my monitor.
I tired both of the methods you mentioned.
I changed the Monitor Profile:
Also reset the preferences as mentioned in the steps.
I am seeing the same issue still. Please suggest what should I try next.
Attaching the screen shot for you to have an idea what I am referening to.
Thank you!
Harpreet

You have chosen the wrong sRGB profile (the one you want is called sRGB IEC61966-2.1), and you also need to select the profile in the dialog and click the Set as default profile button.
Then restart Lightroom so that it can become aware of the new monitor profile.
