Lightroom freezes after trying to apply presets

Recently, I've been having some issues with Lightroom Classic.

Before the update to BigSur, everything was working perfectly, but now, if I want to apply a preset to a picture, Lightroom Classic freezes and I have to restart it. I've tried looking for the problem online already, but haven't found anything. 

I'm using a 2020 MacBook Air, with a Core i7 processor and 16GB RAM. 

Does anybody know what the problem could be?

What version NUMBER of Lightroom Classic?

I'm using Lightroom Classic 10.1. 

But I think I found the problem. I'm editing off of an external hard drive from Lacie with a read speed of 130mb/s and probably that is too slow to edit 50Mb raw files.

Try rolling back to v10.0

Lots of people with various MACOS having issues with 10.0. Not absolute (mine works fine for example)
