Normally, when you first download Raw files to a directory (to save them Raw - originals) and then right click and select to open in LR that works.  However, I am getting multiple stacked messages (one after another) that I am missing certain dll files and have to cancel that operation...  It would appear that I have to reinstall the program to have this function again as original.  I am not sure how to reinstall the program and also woried that I may possibly loose my work and/or LR setup.  Any suggestions?  Thanks.

"right click and select to open in LR..."

Explain what you mean by this statement.

You do not 'Open' photo files in Lightroom-Classic!   LrC will only 'Open' Catalog .LRCAT files.

Please include the following in your questions:
Adobe product and Version number

A Screenshot of the info panel from MENU: Help/System Info...
Operating system and Version number
The full text of any Error Message(s)

Regards. My System: Lightroom-Classic 13.2 Photoshop 25.5, ACR 16.2, Lightroom 7.2, Lr-iOS 9.0.1, Bridge 14.0.2, Windows-11.

Thanks for your reply, perhaps to clarify. I was able to prior right click
and open a Roth file in Adobe Lightroom classic and then able to import
that into specific folders. However the messages that I’m getting now and
I would love to send you a screenshot but in Able at the moment, identifies
a problem system error with Lightroom.exe, The first always indicates the
code in execution cannot proceed because headlights.dll was not found. And
then additionally has the same air heading looking for CR
client.dll,vi.dll, and substrate.dll With all these messages it also states
reinstalling the program may fix this problem. I’m concerned then by
removing and then reinstalling the program might then end up with a lot of
work to try to patch back my catalogs and files. I hope this gives a
little better picture of the idea of what’s going on.

I was able to prior right click and open a Roth (raw?) file in Adobe Lightroom classic and then able to import that into specific folders.

This is wrong workflow!

You IMPORT files into the Lightroom-Classic Catalog- only once, using the Import dialog in Lightroom-Classic.

You IMPORT using the 'ADD' option (if photos are already on the Hard-drive) and the photos stay in their "specific folders"

When you 'OPEN' Lightroom-Classic the Catalog is loaded and shows all imported photos.

I am not sure how to reinstall the program and also woried that I may possibly loose my work and/or LR setup.

Use the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop App to Un-install and Re-install Lightroom-Classic.

Catalogs are NOT affected by a re-install. (You also have made Catalog Backups, have you?)

Photo files are NOT affected by a re-install.  (You also have made Photo File Backups, have you?)

Preference file is NOT affected by a re-install.
