Help!
Just tried version 13.0.2 today (12-3-23)… same problem ... LrC still crashes when scrolling through filmstrip in Develop Module.
(Note: I do initial filtering with “stars”. Not sure if related >> Crashing happens even unfiltered, but seems to happen more quickly when images are filtered)
History...
Early Oct, I upgraded to 13.0 = crash ... when scrolling through images in filmstrip
Oct 15, tried 13.0.1 = crash ... when scrolling through images in filmstrip in Develop Module.
Oct 29 and Nov 28 tries, same crash result with trying the “second install” and “waiting 5 min” after install.
From Oct 15 to today I have needed to revert back to version 12.5 = no issues, old LrC is solid and works fine.
I must use to 12.5 to be able to work.

So far this has been working for me as well, I keep having to go and turn it on just for a moment so it can auto sync everything, then turn it off when it's done. So it definitely seems like a bug with that option. Sadly, it will likely be there for another few years to 20 since Adobe has been ignoring the entire issue on multiple threads.
Would be epic if they actually would let us know they have it on their to do list since we found a bug that needs to be dealt with since it ends up in critical failure of one of their primary apps

The problem still exists in 13.3 but turning off automatic write to XMP definitely cures the problem while none of the Adobe suggestions re graphics cards etc make any difference. The problem with turning it off is remembering to manually update the XMP files. I've found that the best way is to select everything I've worked on and choose "save metadata to files" but this is a real nuisance as sometimes I forget.
As the previous participant said, it would be good if Adobe admitted there's a problem and did something about it.

Still the same issue with LR13.5.1 - automatic XMP write on = crash / off = no crash

I can confirm, just tested it last week with the most recent update and it crashed VERY soon after turning it back on. No crashes yet with it turned off. Even their live support can't figure it out, because it's a developer issue.
They've had plenty of time to fix this, Adobe has been proving they don't really care to fix their bugs. Just keep adding new stuff on top of a faulty foundation. Quite sad being they are dropping more and more out of favor with other programs taking over year after year.

We’ve reviewed the email address you use with this forum and found no crash reports in our system.
Did you see a crash dialog?
Do you use a different email address when filling out the crash report?
Was the crash dialog Adobe’s? Microsoft’s? Apple’s?
FYI: I keep asking about your crash reports as presumably you are not using the same version on which you originally reported. Please don't take it personally; it is a vital detail needed to diagnose and eventually fix your issue and I hope that you eventually receive the dialog.

Do you see any Crash Dumps at this location:
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\LocalLow\Adobe\CRLogs\dumps ?
Additional Note: This forum thread has been damaged, and my recent posts are not showing. The only way I can communicate is by modifying my previous post. I've notified Forum Support, and hopefully, they can get it sorted out.

Creating new thread because someone marked the other one as fixed with the wrong asnwer when it is not fixed so it is not updating on the forums for anyone to see it when people reply to it.
Just like the title, both 13 and 13.0.1 crash VERY often for no reason when selecting a different photo.
This issue was stated by Adobe in another thread for a MAC user and said it is a Server issue and that they "fixed" it and to uninstall and do a clean install to get rid of any potential bugged files downloaded from their server issue.
I did this on Windows 11 and it did not fix the issue.
All drivers are up to date and did clean install already which like I said, did not fix the issue after the server "fix".
Windows 11
i9-12900k
128GB RAM
RTX3090
Nvidia Studio Driver 546.01
Both LR 13 and 13.0.1 constant crash......Don't know if I can revert to 12.5 without losing data since catalogs were updated and previous versions can not read anymore.

No Crash dialog or report anything, it just auto shuts down no warning. Just a slight lag prior and gone, as if you task manager end programed it. When starting up there is no pop up either, just starts up as if nothing happened.
And no, same email. It just isn't doing any dialog at all. It's crashed multiple times now over and over and not one crash dialog.

So start a new thread and people will try to help you. Do not continue to post in someone else's thread who has a different problem.

What is this? Since you guys are not wanting to show any support or update, I had to try digging around for anything else that could be an issue. But found this in the Windows error reports.

Ofc that was never the attention to take over the forum but more seeing if there was any similarity to rase note that its not only happening to 1 person

Techically its showing support that
1 this person is not only having lightroom issues
2 that community is also will either will try to help fix / make awareness

No it isn't - this is a user to user forum. You're not talking to "support".
