LR-ers,

I was being pestered by LR to opt for embedded previews and I said yes. I had no idea what

a can of worms this would be. All my images are too large to use. I went to Edit > Preferences > General and then chose the setting I read on line but no change. How can I correct this mess?

Thanks,

Richard

Show us a screen capture of the message and more importantly, the pref's you are talking about.

Images are 'too large to use" means what?

Hi Digital Dog,
I just created a follow up to my last post. The message read "Replace
Embedded Preview with Standard size during Idle time." I don't know what
this means. I chose the option and nothing happened. I can go to Develop
and choose 'crop' and at least see my images at their usual screen size or
go to Slideshow and also see them at a more normal size. How do I now get
LR to do the same?
Thanks,
Richard

Is it possible you clicked on your image to zoom it in? Try clicking again to zoom back. Alternately, look in the Navigation panel in the upper left and make sure your zoom level is set to "Fit."

I'm suggesting this based on your very limited description. As suggested earlier, show us a screen shot or two to illustrate what you mean.

Michael,
I do remember selecting 'fit' at some point and you might be right. Would
that affect any photo from any date that I chose to view because that was
the case?
Thanks,
Richard
