How do I save an edited photo to my library

If you are editing a photo in Lightroom Classic, the edits are automatically saved in the Lightroom Classic catalog. This happens without user action, and cannot be turned off.

It's as dj_paige indicates there is no "save" option like there are in Image editing applications like Photoshop, before you proceed it is necessary you get some info on how Lightroom functions. A good way to start is getting the free book available on Lightroom Classic available at the link below, there's also lots of video tutorials on Adobe tv dot com.

The beauty of Lightroom is that once you've Imported the files, any adjustments you make are automatically saved; there is nothing for you to do.

Are you not seeing the saved edits? If so, please elaborate.
