I updated to the latest version of the cloud based lightroom last night and noticed the lens vignetting is gone on the lens corrections tab. So it leaves a vignette on my images and I'm unable to fix it. Anyone know if there's a way to get that back?Screenshot 2024-10-16 at 5.11.46 PM.png

Lightroom version: 8.0 x64 [ 20241003-1027-def78b5 ] (Oct 3 2024)

Operating system: macOS
OS Version: macOS 13.6.9 (22G830)

1. Select raw imported photo in Lightroom in Edit Detail mode (Canon R8 with Canon RF 16mm F2.8 STM lens)

2. Under Edit in Optics section, uncheck Enable Lens Corrections

Result:  Checkbox cannot be unchecked to remove lens corrections

Expected Result:  Checkbox may be unchecked to remove lens corrections

I am not able to reproduce this. The box can be unchecked and checked.

Please expand the Optics panel, take a screenshot of the current state and post it here in the thread.

Thanks!

Thanks for quickly responding, Rikk!  I was hoping it might have been a fluke but I'm still unable to uncheck the "Enable Lens Corrections" checkbox.  These are photos I'd imported and worked with prior to the most recent Creative Cloud Lightroom Upgrade in case that's part of the problem I'm experiencing.  Below, please see a screenshot of the checkbox constantly checked.  "Remove Chromatic Aberration" checkbox above can be unchecked.

I'm unable to toggle Lens Corrections in the Optics section on or off.  This happens specifically on Windows 11 with Canon CR3 files.  It was working fine before updating to LR 8.0.

Whenever I enable lens correction on the newest update (v 8.0), I cannot change the lens vignette values. I can, however, paste the values from photos I've edited before the update. After pasting though, I cannot change the value from the pasted value.

This only started occuring after updating to this version. I've tried restarting the program and restarting my computer but to no avail. This is an important part of my workflow, since I shoot on very wide lenses and like to correct the edges of the frame. I sometimes do not like the values that appear in the default correction, and being able to fix this is essential for me.

My OS is Sonoma 14.3 on Mac M3.

I'm experiencing the same issue. I'm on an M1 Max macbook pro. Using sony a7.  I can apply a preset that has the lens corrections saved to 'off', but when I turn lens corrections on, I cannot turn it back off without reselecting the preset. When I import straight from the card, I cannot toggle lens corrections.

I am having this same problem.  Huge problem!  This lens correction is useful for some pictures and very undesirable for other pictures.  Now, I can only adjust the distortion correction.  I am unable to change the lens vignetting and uncheck the box.  I will need to reinstall older versions of the app. The 7.5.

Lightoom V.8 Build 20241003-1027-def78b5 will not allow Lens Correction checkbox to be un-checked.

If Lens Correction is off, it stays off, but once selected, cannot be unchecked.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

I'm getting the same bug in lightroom on imac. In order to uncheck lens profile, I've found a workaround by doing it in mobile app (iOS), and then forcing the sync from mobile. Then it is unchecked in desktop app. However, checking it again results in the same problem, unable to remove afterwards. This is in latest version 8.0.

Thanks,

Josh

Issue:

  • Lightroom Version Number: 8.0 20241003-1027-def78b5 Build
  • OS Version Number: Windows 11 23H2

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open a photo in Edit mode with lens correction applied (either by clicking it manually or via import)

2. Try to uncheck "Enable Lens Corrections" box

Expected result: Lens correction no longer applied, "Enable Lens Corrections" box is unchecked
Actual result: Nothing changes, box still checked

Plus one! This bug drives me nuts, I prefer to compare lens correction vs not. Not possible in Mac version of app.
