P:: Face bounding boxes

Lightroom CC's face/people detection feature would benefit from being able to display bounding boxes around the detected faces on a given photo, perhaps while in the Keywords view. I would want this to be interactive in a way that allows me to see which person "keyword/keyword slot" is associated with each bounding box. This would make it easier for me to ensure that each person detected in a photo is properly tagged. Taking it a step further, I would also like to be able to manually place bounding boxes on faces not automatically detected by Lightroom, so that I can ensure that all of the people I want to tag in a photo are tagged as People (not vanilla keywords).

Good idea!  This is one of the things that works really well in Photos on a Mac.

I just found it has been implemented in the latest update! Hovering over list of tagged tagged people (both known and yet unknown) in filmstrip view reveals a bounding box!

Both examples highlight why we can't rely on this feature yet. It identifies two people as one in the first shot, and a dress piece as a person in the second where it misses the pastor.

AFAIK, there is no way to manually add those missing persons the way it works in Lightroom Classic (by manually drawing a box around the person).

The result is that I still need to manually add "person" keywords to each shot.

It generally does not recognize people from profile at all. But most annoying is tagging couples (do not even have to be kissing, just close enough) as one person and random objects, that is why I pointed those out. Even if you remove those tags, Lightroom will return them in a few moments, probably because it thinks it knows better then me 😄 So I have People section in Lightroom full of people and random objects that can't be really removed.

And when a system works like that, you can't rely on it, so the best remedy is to manual tag persons... which makes automatic face tagging almost worthless, since you can search for a person and miss like 50% of the pictures without really knowing. And the manual tagging features of Lightroom CC are truly horrendous. Try to remove a bunch of tags from a series of photos, or rename a tag.

I only used Lightroom Classic for a short period of time, but since moving to Lightroom CC, one of the things I missed is when looking at a person in People in Classic, you would see their head views.  For me, this quickly allows me to see where facial recognition incorrectly categorize someone.  I don't see a way to show this in Lightroom CC.  When I click on a person in LCC it shows all the photos that the person is tag, however, this isn't always correct.  For example, when I clicked on my son's name, there are 3 photos of him and I that look very similar because they were taken only seconds apart.  One would assume that the facial recognition for his face would be the same, but it wasn't, the middle picture was incorrect because the AI tagged me with his name.  But I wouldn't know this if I was just looking at the 3 pictures assuming that the tagging was correct because "he" was in all 3 pictures.  It's not until I individually view the photos and hover my mouse over his name that I see the face as incorrect.  I found many instances like this in my catalog with mixed up faces, mostly with photos of my families, and especially with my 2 nephews and I think the AI's algorithm for recognizing their faces is "messed up".  Now I have to go thru my whole catalog clicking on each individual photos and hoving my mouse over the name to ensure all the faces are tag correctly for each person.  This is a long process because I maybe looking at a photo 5 or 6 times all over again if there are 5 or 6 people in the photo that I need to verify their name and face are a match!

Please create a head view for individual in People similar to that of Lightroom Classic.  The facial recognition so far isn't all that great so I need a quick way to quickly recognize incorrect tagging for individual without viewing every single photo and hoving over their names.
