P: Introduce image stacks/groups for mobile

Community Beginner ,
Nov 08, 2021 Nov 08, 2021

Please allow for image "stacks" or "groups" on Lightroom for iPad. This would be relevant for (at least) the following workflow:

* Maintaining copies of both Raw and JPG images alongside each other, without seeing the images twice in the catalog; also, allows you to reject/accept both Raw and JPG forms in a single step.

* Collecting in-camera bracketed images into a single group.

Even with this, you'll still need Lightroom Classic to do any sort of stitching (HDR, Pano, etc), but this would at least allow my iPad catalog to stay organized until I can make it back to a computer with LrC. Thank you.

You mean HDR or panorama? Not to my knowledge, unfortunately. Would be a nice feature indeed!

The ability to stack images (particularly brackets for HDR, as well as large groupings of images to be merged into a panorama) is one of Lightroom's strongest and most useful features for me.
To have this on Lightroom CC for Mobile would be an incalculable advantage (especially now that I do most of my key editing on an iPad Pro)

I have created a stack(s) in lightroom CC version Desktop (all ok) , but the stacks dont show (sync) in lightroom CC version iOS (ipad & iphone);

Am I missing something or it is a fact?

thanks!

I don't think Lightroom CC for iOS supports stacks (yet).

Because I don't know what maybe hidden under the hood, I tend to phrase my answers with a little caution. But if you insist: Meaning NO.

Adobe, please add stacking support for iOS. Stacking works great on macOS for organizing different versions edited outside of Lightroom, but is then very frustrating to see unstacked when viewed from an iPhone/iPad.

Are there any plans on the roadmap to support stacks in iOS?

Why is this marked as solved? Almost 2 years has passed and functionality is still missing...

I've got some photos grouped in Lightroom CC on desktop, but they don't appear grouped on mobile? Is that just a missing feature in mobile or is there an option I need to select in order to see those?

No, Lightroom Mobile doesn't currently support Stacks.

Lack of handling stacks totally ruins albums. I was shocked to find this missing because it is so fundemental.

Please add photo stacking option to Android lightroom! No, ios don't have the hardware to handle it. Yes android units have the hardware to handle it.

Hi,
it would be great if it would be possible to see already grouped and stack new photos to a group in the LR-App.
I'm working with Desktop and IPad on the same photos and all my groups from the Desktop (LR Classic) are gone in the App. This is annoying while working with a lot of HDR and Panorama.

This would be a nice feature in future versions.

Thx

Hannes

Not being able to see which images are stacked with a HDR merge or a pano on mobile both clutters my library and makes it hard to use on the go. Please at least allow us to see stacks and hopefully in future allow us to create photo merges on mobile. Thanks.

Almost 2 years on...still no grouped images.

A nightmare for macro or astro shooters, c'mon Adobe.

Hi,

everytime I do an HDR merge on Lightroom using my laptop, the input photos are automatically grouped in stack with the resulting HDR. When I use the Lightroom app on my Iphone I see all the photos without any grouping which can be really annoying if you have bunch of HDR (panoramics, etc.).

It would be great if you can add as a feature the automatic grouping in stack on the Lightroom iOS app as on the laptop version.

Thanks!

It still hasn't been added. Makes Lightroom for ios totally useless for anyone who actually edits their photos. I often have anywhere from 2 to 5 different versions of the images, which makes the unstacked view on ios incredibly confusing and bloated.

Adobe, please don't release a new version until this is added!
