Images added to website in InBrowser Editing won't sync with Muse File

Client updated text and added photos to a website with InBrowser Editing.

Text changes sync with Muse fine.

Photos will not sync with Muse.

The website is self hosted.

This problem has not happened before with this website.

I thought it might be because the image file names had spaces and unusual characters, eg image 1234 (2).jpg (which do need to be fixed), however images with named suitable eg, image_1234-2.jpg won't sync either.

Anyone had the same problem and found a solution?

Please no comments about don't use Muse, the site was built three years ago. It's one of my few remaining Muse sites, scheduled for migration later in the year.
