My team has been trying to log in to our muse site with in-browser editing but are getting server not found error. This has been occurring for the last few days on al devices/browsers. Is anyone else having this issue? Anyone know how to resolve. I am planning on rebuilding the site, but was hoping to continue using IBE until I have time to do the rebuild.
According to the End of Service announcement for Muse:
"As of July 31, 2020 sites published using Adobe Muse will no longer be editable using the Adobe In-Browser editing solution."

in 99,9% of this issue the credentials are false. Check your ftp - also at the webhosting company/provider.
Kind Regards,
Uwe

The error is occurring when trying to access the url https://inbrowserediting.adobe.com/login/. I don't think it's at all related to the hosting or credential issue.

Seems like they have dialed the speed back too. Excruciating trying to edit now. Just started recently.
Pretty poor behaviour from Adobe.

Adobe didn't DO anything to make your software stop working. Muse is discontinued, unsupported and the scripts it generates have not been updated in 2-1/2 years.
Meanwhile, web technologies, browsers and servers continue to evolve. Eventually, all Muse sites will fail in one way or another. Use Muse at your own risk.

I have the same problem with In Brower editing. When trying to log in, my clients are getting the server cannot be found message and no settings have been changed in Muse and it was working fine a few months ago. Maybe, as part of Muse support ending, In Browser editing has finished too? Not helpful if so, as many people still have sites built in Muse and In Browser is very handy for some!

Are you using Business Catalyst?

Not on this particular website. It has been working fine until this past couple of weeks. Now the 'server can't be found' is the message you get when trying to open it.

I have just had a client report of the same issue. The credentials are correct, as I have links setup from the client websites which autofills the logins, save for the password. Are we to assume that inbrowser editing is no longer available?

Yes I think everybody gets then same issue. I did ask today to Preran, one of the welll known Adobe employees and a very knowing from muse as well. I asked wether IBE is stopped by Adobe or if it stopped by browserupdates. The chance that this will get solved is quite unlikely I must admit. But let´s see, what Preran has to say and I am not quite sure if he 1) has the time and 2) gets to know something and 3) when this will happen.
As of this reading I just can provide some apps where I have a look at. Sparkleapp seems to be quite poor right now - there´s an update in the line but no schedule for it, I assume - I had a look at nicepage today and that one seems much more uptodate and had a look at Pinegrow - so far the only one I know to offer a simple CMS for clients that are used to IBE. But all of these will need some time to do-learn-redo and so on. But this is not just happened by accident - everybody could have known that kind of this will happen sooner or later, right?
It is sad for clients, though but hey the bussiness needs some more and better websites, doesn`t it?
Kind Regards,
Uwe

Thanks UWE, Much appreciated. I'm sure like other Muse users, I am planning and rebuilding sites for clients - especially those that need regular updates. The covid situation has slowed demand for rebuilds and it gave me time to work on sites using W/Code (Duda) https://www.wocode.com which I highy recommend Muse users take a look at. W/Code is the same guys behind Muse Themes and has proven to be fairly straight forward web builder to use and create new or current sites.

Well, clients could have known since 2018 that there is something in the line. I am just curious because we were told that IBE will not be dropped. But anyway clients should be moved to other/new websites with new apps or by coding.
What I do not like - and I am a fan of musethemes - I hate subscription models and I would have to move my clients to new hosting and outside europe? Nope, I won´t do that and although musethemes is very recommended, I still stick with my tips for watching out. Let´s see, if we can get an aswer from Preran but anyway, definetly time to move.
Kind Regards,
Uwe
