P: Generative fill could not be used due to connection

I can't use Generative fill and received notification: generative fill could not be due used to a connection issue. Anyone has problem and how can fix it?

Launch Windows Defender from the Control Panel. Click Allow an app or feature through Windows Defender Firewall. Add Photoshop.exe and Creative Cloud.exe Click back at the top left. Click Advanced settings.

Click on Inbound Rules. Make sure that you allow on both Private and Public for Adobe Photoshop 2024 and Creative Cloud. 

 

Click on Outbound rules. Look for "Adobe Unlicensed Pop-up". Click on it and then click Disable Rule. 

Then relaunch Photoshop and try the Generative Fill again.

Hi @Kundan0D45 the solution for this is to simply close Ps and reopen.  This will reset the tie Ps has to the server.

@ianw48661311 curious if you are seeing this on your team account or personal? Could you log off and back in your CCD to test and make sure you are seeing the same issue with both accounts?

Hey everyone, could you try logging in somewhere else, different wifi connection or hotspot, somewhere other than where you are seeing this error?

I tried (on a MacBook Pro) wifi at home, wifi at the office in work, hotspot connection with my iPhone, using both wifi and 4G..

all the same issue of high demand and unable to use generative fill.

 

the only time it's working is through my office desktop windows computer which is network cabled in.

Bonjour,

 

Depuis deux jours, impossible d'utiliser la génération d'IA. A chaque tentative, un message d'erreur apparait signalant un problème de connexion. Seulement tout fonctionne correctement de mon coté, et je peux quand même avoir accès à la barre de génération (Impossible quand on est pas connecté). Une idée ?

Try restarting Photoshop.

Try disabling the OS firewall for Adobe sites.

Try turning off your VPN.
It seems that sometime running a VPN causes this problem. When I disabled the VPN, it started to work again; I got this error when enabled.

I have been wondering if all Generative Fill requests are processed with the same server, or if it depends on your location?  Does your location impact on how likely you are to see the High Demand error message?

i am sure it is because of the network connection, I tried to use on the same laptop with different network connection (home wifi and cellphone hotspot), one could use the fill, one could not.

I was using Photshop Beta running Big Sur on my MacPro -Late 2013 (which isn't supposed to work but it did!). I was able to do Generative Fills and it worked wonderfully well. Then, suddenly, it didn't anymore. Even when I updated to a newer version.

I, too, get the same message now, all the time.

Our IT department informed me of a geo destination block on china flagging up when using it, do you have the domain used by the generative ai? @adobe

Hi @mohamed30304006jfsn sorry for the trouble you are facing. Could you please attach a screenshot of the error you are experiencing? 

 

When you say always, can you elaborate and walk through the steps? Do you select something to remove or to add an object? Does it matter which you try, it always gives an error? However you can re-create the steps and list them here would be great.

 

Also if you haven't, please re-launch the beta app for good measure.

I did log in and out, turend off the firewall 

my connection is stable, but still got the error in PS Beta
