When opening photoshop file in photoshop 2020, empty debug.log is created in the same path. Annoying. Anyone working on that issue?

Hi all,

Sorry for the excessive log files. This should now be fixed in the 21.2.4 update released this evening.

Look for the Photoshop update in the Updates section of the Creative Cloud desktop. For help, see Update Creative Cloud apps

Let us know if it's fixed for you!

Regards,

Pete

On windows I can suggest worlaround.

Option 1
Rename the folder
"C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop 2020\Required\Plug-ins\Spaces"
to
"C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop 2020\Required\Plug-ins\~Spaces"

Option 2
Run Photoshop as an administrator.

Thank you very much for the tip. I prefer option 1, as the second one asks you the authorization to launch the program, as all Administrator-enabled programs.

Best regards

Yup option 1 works - but it is frustrating that we should have to do this and I am concerned about what else the fix could break.

A new version has been released but this annoying problem still remains and it creates a lot of extra work for us who work in a cloud environment.

Give us a solution now!

Is anyone else having these issues where Photoshop keeps creating a debug.log file in the same directory a PSD is in? It might be tied to these error screens I've seen in the Export As dialog recently.
Here's the contents of a log file. I don't see how it's at all relevant to what I was working on.

[0818/100548.907:INFO:CONSOLE(1)] "Long rAF frame-time", source: file:///C:/ProgramFiles/Adobe/AdobePhotoshop2020/Required/www-rich-tooltips/build/external.js (1)

Around the time these started appearing, I also started getting absolutely abysmal performance when working on a file on my company server over VPN. It's just frustratingly slow to do anything, even things that don't require an internet connection.

Here are some system specs.
