P: Strokes appear on shapes after reopening files

LEGEND ,
Oct 23, 2020 Oct 23, 2020

Hello! I often use rectangular shapes in Photoshop filled with a color. I've noticed that after I save a psd, close it, then reopen it, shapes I used get a black 1 px strokes which can be seen in the properties panel but they are not visible on the shapes. If I decide to change the fill color of the shape, the border appears suddenly. The problem appeared in the 22.0 version.

Thanks for reporting this issue. This issue was fixed in 22.1.1 which released late last night.

So I am also having issues with strokes, but mine is different. I am actually adding a stroke to a shape. It appears on screen just fine. My process is then to save to PDF for client review. When I open the PDF, the stroke is not visible. Anyone seeing this?

Converting Text to Shape there is a black stroke that can not be deleted, changed, or something else! What to do with this?

I am getting the same issue on white fonts with a heavier weight. Very annoying-- even after updating to the latest version on Dec 2. I had to download an older version (21.2.4) to "Convert to Shape" and that seemed to work. Good luck.

The new update didn't work with mine, either. Still having black stroke added to shapes. When I convert type to a shape, a black stroke is added.

@JeffreyTranberry

Still not fixed in 22.1.0, and many users seem to be having this issue. For me, it makes this release unusable.

I've been very patient but it's very frustrating and you guys don't do anything about it!

Is this a joke? We've been reporting this error for over a month now - and you don't do anything about it! Maybe if the engineers can't solve the problems, ask for others?

Does anyone know why the new Photoshop 22 adds black stroke 1px width for every shape?

I mean not only when you create a new shape. Although previously new shapes were created by default with no stroke. And I really know very few cases when you need a stroke right away.

But the main headache is when you open a document from a previous version and Photoshop adds a black stroke 1px width to all shapes layers. This is very, very inconvenient. I am working with thousands of files and the same number of layers. Should I spend a few months removing strokes manually?

I use the last version 22.0.1

Dear Adobe! Can you fix this issue?

Good that something works. Hope they fix the issue, though. Hate to have to open illustrator just to make a shape:)
