Black image from 3d spherical panorama

Hello!

I have an image 360x180 that I want to modify with Photoshop. When I go in 3d - spherical panorama - new panorama level from selected level I obtain a black image. Why? I tried with other images, the risult is the same. What's my mistake? I have 2020 version. thanks

Hi! I confirm it. This is a BUG!
Here an example. If I do the same thing in Photoshop 2019 none problem. This is a problem ONLY of the new Photoshop 2020 version.
I look forward to read an answer from someone of Adobe team.

I just tested with Photoshop 21.0.1 on Windows 10 and it works fine for me

Hi,

I've done the update to latest version 21.0.1 and the "reset preferences on quit".

Nothing is changed. As Davide the result is ever a black image.

Only for info, I can arginate this bug if I do "Import panorama...", in this case I see the image in 3D world, but anyway this is not a solution.

This is the info about my system. The PC has been done NEW about 6 months ago (WINDOWS 10 - Ryzen 2600x - NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030 GDDR5 2048 MB Driver Version 26.21.14.3648 (NVIDIA 436.48)/WIN 10 64 - 32Gb RAM 3200Mhz - Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus 1Tb NVMe M.2 - motherboard ASUS X470-PRO).

It works fine for me also - but it is not the first I've heard of it. I use Photoshop CC v21.0.1 on Windows 10 (1903) and with NVidia GTX1080 driver version 436.15.

You can raise bug reports/feature requests at the link below , where they will be seen by Adobe staff, but be specific about your system and drivers :

Hello, I tried resetting my preferences, I'm writing via Twitter with Adobe assistence, my preview remain black.. As reccomanded by Adobe guys I downgraded my Nvidia Quadro k2000 graphic card drivers with no positive results.

Furthermore according to me a downgraded of the graphic card drivers does not make sense, infact in 2019 version is OK and in 2020 we can overcame the problem with "Import Panorama..." so also this last Photoshop CC v21.0.1 can generate a Spherical Panorama. It only the comand "New Panorama Layer from Selected Layer(s)" that has a BUG in the PS CC 2020 version 😐

The reason I said to be specific about system and drivers is that not all systems are affected. Mine works using New Panorama from Selected layer in CC v20.0.1

Hi Guys,
I am sorry to say I was not able to reproduce the issue either.

Howevever, I have seen similar behavior before to this. Can you please try enabling Preferences -> Performance -> Legacy Compositing and let us know if that resolves the issue? We appreciate your help on the matter. Thank you.

thank you so much for your reply.
Is this the option that you said? I don't sure because in Italian the translate is a little bit different.
If yes, I've activated it, restarted PS CC 2020 v 21.0.1 but nothing is changed, always black image when I try to do a 3d spherical panorama with "New Panorama Layer from Selected Layer(s)..."

I have exactly the same issue in my french photoshop.

I'm working with the latest update (21.0.2) and it's impossible to complete my work.

I'm starting to be slightly upset, let's say discovering I'm not the only one is a little less frustating!

Greetings,

Thank you for reporting the issue and I apologize it took this long.

I was able to reproduce this issue by using a localized Spanish language in Photoshop. I have filed the issue for our development team.

The workaround might be to use English in Photoshop if possible, if I find an easier workaround I will post here.

Hola, abro esta foto equirectangular (de las utilizadas para fotos 360) y cuando selecciono en Photoshop:

3D > Panorama Esferico > Nuevo Panorama de capa de las capas seleccionadas

se me abre la foto, pero se ve toda negra:

Que puede estar pasando? como puedo solucionar esto?
