My older Nik software which worked in Photoshop CC 2019 no longer appears in the filters in Photoshop CC 2020. How do I get it back?

For Windows you just need to copy the Google folder from this location

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2019\Plug-ins

to this location

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop 2020\Plug-ins

It's working fine for me with Photoshop 2020, old free Nik Collection

You are sure that the version of your software is compatible with the 2020 version of photoshop?!

Understooded that it may not.

Hence, the question here if there is workaround it.

If I'm using latest DXO Nik, the question shall be posted at DXO Forum.

Thank you.

I have successfully installed the Google NIK collection (free software) into Photoshop 2020 (V21.0) and it works just fine EXCEPT Silver Efex Pro which will not open.  I just get a message : 'The command "<unknown>" is not currently available.'  It works fine in earlier versions of PS.  Any suggestions?  Windows 10 OS.

No, that does not work either.  I had it already set to this option.  This fix stops PS from crashing after editing in NIK.  My problem is that Silver Efex will not open at all.  Thanks for ytour help anyway.

I have got it working. In the programs folder I clicked on the set-up exe icon and that opened Photoshop with Silver efex working.  So relieved!  It's bugged me for 4 days.

Hi there,

As you're not able to use the nik plugin collection in Photoshop, could you please update Photoshop to version 21.0.1 and then reinstall the nik collection and see if it works?

Regards,
Sahil

The copy and paste worked for me, managed to get SilverEfex working under Filters menu in PS 2020 and pulled through to Photoshop. Win 10 user - Old free version of Nik collection.
