Perspective Crop Tool error

When trying to use the Perspective Crop Tool, I receive the following error;

"Could not use the perspective crop tool because the image contains unsupported layers types."

The image in question has 3 layers, one of which is a 'smart object', but it is turned off and not a layer I want to manipulate.

What are the limitations of this tool?

Perspective crop affects all the layers, even if they're turned off, so if the Smart Object is the issue, you need to either use transform, as Semaphoric suggested, pasteurize the SO, or remove the SO, until you crop.

It sounds like you should be using Edit > Transform > Perspective.

Thank you Chuck. It appears Smart Objects is a limitation of the Perspective Crop Tool, and yes, it applies to all layers.

Or you can just simply rasterize the layer.
Steps to rasterize:
1. Right click on the layer.
2. Then choose Raterize in the drop down menu.

The layer will be rasterized.
