Photoshop CC 2018 and Oil Paint Filter?

If the people who've updated to the new Photoshop CC 2018, can you please check and let me know if the Oil Paint Filter is still there?  They dropped it a while back and then added it back, so I just want to make sure before I do the update that it's still available and they aren't messing with it again.

It seems to be only partially there as in only shows in the menu....because when you go to use it it does not work.

And it is not in the filter gallery.

In PS CC 2018.  !  I am going crazy, my mac won't let me use oilpaint.  It is not greyed out, the dialog appears the sliders are there and the numbers changebut they  don't do anything on the photo!   I updated High Sierra and that did not help. I have the same program on my laptop and it seems to work - but on my desktop it was working a few days ago but now it won't.  I am updated on Adobe too.  Any ideas as to what is going on?

Hi

Oil paint uses the GPU so if it is not working start there.

In Preferences >Performance try different GPU drawing settings (Basic/Normal/Advanced) and see if any help. You will need to start a new document after each change

One think to remember in Photoshop is that by default not all the filters are showing on the Filter menu bar as shon in the attached screenshot

You can go to the Filter Gallery nd fined the extra folders or go to

Preferences: (Command/Contro K) and in the Plug-ins tab check Show all Filter Gallery Groups and names

OpenCL has to be checked on and sometimes that does not happen even with a capable card and drivers.  You would have to see if you can check it on yourself. Screenshots here:  Oil Paint is grayed out in Photoshop

Sorry Buddy, its still not working. Adobe Photoshop has a defect that needs to be fixed or more thoroughly explained on how to use it, because 2 editors looked over the program and it is not working.

Since you are on the CC program, you can download and use Photoshop CC (14.0) which has the old oil paint filter.

There's also Photoshop CC 2017 18.1.3  or CC 2015.5 where the Oil Paint filter might work.

It costs nothing to try and should be better than waiting for fixes if there are any scheduled.

Just a thought - are you in RGB mode?  Oil paint is greyed in CMYK

i  have no open cl option. is there anything i can do to change this? Im not a tech savvy guy. just a self taught Graphic designer i dont know much about doing these things. Please tellme i can find a way to create art with this computer? Please help.

Your card does not support OpenCL. If you still want Oil Paint, install Photoshop CC (14.0) for the older one that doesn't need OpenCL

Also update your graphics drivers: Support for Graphics Drivers for Mobile Intel® 4 Series Express...

Also, when i go to the link you suggested i am not able to download or update my driver because they no longer support it. what can i do now? Will Photoshop still work with oil if i rollback a few versions?

Since CC is less demanding than cc2018, it should work.
